Whole House Water Softeners

Puronics® whole-house Chlorostatic® water softener systems with Chloroshield™ Clearess® filter media, are specifically designed to reduce the levels of chloramine, chlorine and hardness typically found in municipal water supplies while reducing the need for filter changes. These water softeners go above and beyond the traditional resin bed, protecting your home from potentially harmful chemicals. Chloramine is a common municipal water disinfectant, but it is corrosive to lead and copper water lines and could have side effects for people and fish. Our Chlorostatic® water softener systems also utilize the advanced technology of the iGen®… the valve so smart it does the thinking for you to optimize water quality and operating efficiency.

Reverse Osmosis Filters

Reverse osmosis (RO) systems filter your water and water softeners soften your water. RO water systems rely on filtering your water through a reverse osmosis membrane to rid it of contaminants and minerals. Water softeners use ion exchange to replace minerals that cause your water to be hard with sodium or potassium to condition the water and make it soft. Both AMERITEK USA drinking water systems and water softeners use activated carbon filters to reduce the bad taste and odors caused by chlorine in your municipal water.
